Heart rate
For heart rate based training, select from three different training zones within the settings menu. Both an audible and/or visual zone alarm indicate whether you are training within the desired heart rate zone. Simply modify intensity to maintain the appropriate heart rate.
Training zones
For heart rate based training, select from three different training zones in the settings menu.
The automatically calculated FAT zone is for lower intensity fat burning exercise and the FIT zone is for high intensity cardiovascular training. The programmable training zone can be individually customized with upper and lower heart rate limits.
Zone alarm
The zone alarm helps you train within the desired training zone. If your heart rate goes above or below the selected HR zone, the RC 1209 will beep a warning.
A visual indicator will also appear on the display to indicate if you are above or below the heart rate threshold.
Calorie Counter
The RC 1209 calculates the number of calories burned during a workout. The formula is based on age, gender, weight and maximum heart rate.
These factors and the training intensity determine the value.
